11/20/2023 0 Comments Aer city packIf I had paid attention to the stand up thing before buying I. ![]() Maybe because of this, the city pack is in more ergonomic when on your back, but I dont have both to compare. I wanted something slightly larger than my regular daily carry for those days I'll be carrying some extra gear, and this guy does it nicely. But one of the things I find most annoying about the city pack after using for a while is that it doesnt stand on its own when set on the floor, which the day pack can do. Other than the little niggles, I really like this bag. I just don't know what its use? Wish the main compartment was just an empty bucket with nothing there but glorious space. At first, kinda stunned me at how thin they looked but after a few days, didnt feel any less secure than usual width'd straps.Īlso, I'm finding the main compartment's flap pocket really unnecessary. They're about the same width as most sternum straps. They take off from the curb hardly to seem like they look in the side. One thing to note that I havent really seen mentioned are the nylon straps that attach the straps to the body: their width is much thinner, measuring 3/4” vs the usual 1” on most bags! See 3rd slide. pack a little more clothes, especially now that I know it won't just take. I can comfortably fit my small and medium Eagle Creek Spector packing cubes for quick weekend trip. If anything, feels about the same as my Evergoods CHZ22. What we like about this pack is its durability and its organization. It is a 14-liter bag with a front quick-access pocket and front compartment. And i can imagine this not nearly as big feeling as the Travel Pack Small, and don't think they're in the same league in terms of internal packing space. (Updated 2023) The Aer City Pack is designed to be the go-to bag for all the city folks. The amount of internal space doesn't feel as oversized as some seem to describe. But the carry is quite comfortable, and the burly straps are wonderful. The city pack will be my daily from now on. Honestly my favorite EDC backpack so far, after using the original AER day pack 1 and Black Ember Shadow. Their implementation of Aer's version of the back yoke just doesnt feel as hugging or "attached" to my body as Evergood bags, who's design i much prefer. Ive tried it yesterday and its very comfortable. On body, with my usual office load out, it does feel heavier than my Evergoods PLC20. Best of all, the flat bottom does allow the bag to easily stand on its own. The difference is most notable if you use your thumb or whatever to measure the very top of the. You can also see that the Pro packs are both creased in a bit from mid to bottom, where the City is not. Top is the Pro, you can tell because the zipper location. Its got a slight flattened eggshell shape, which I really like. The only dimensional difference is 2.5 depth. Cordura knocking this color outta the park.Įxternally, its thankfully not as boxy as their bags can seem. Not as drab as a true military olive but slight sheen of the 1680D makes it a bit more vivid and richer in hand. Their website pics do not do this justice. Aer City Pack Pro Review // Overall pros and cons // Who this pack is perfect for // Who this pack is NOT perfect for // Where to get the best price, and mor. Originally, i had thought about attaching some paracord or some leftover Gravel branded rubber pulls in yellow or orange for a contrast color but there's no need! Didnt want to detract from the sweet color. And wow, olive green is a fantastic colorway. ![]() They’re both great bags honestly you cant go wrong with either, it’s just personal preference of the looks and how you’ll use it.Just received this beauty. you can attach things to the zipper pull tabs on the front it doesn’t feel as rigid as the day pack and seems you can stuff more stuff in and compress it as well ![]() i like that the key attachment is in the front separate pocket and it’s easier to access quickly the inside zippered pocket inside the front flaps is slightly larger on the city pack so i can use it as a pencil case the magnetic sternum strap is incredible and is pretty intuitive to attach and detach (probably another looming update on the day pack) straps feel more premium on the city pack since it’s a newer generation (im sure they’ll update it on the day pack 3) However i went with the city pack and here’s why: The front of the day pack just looks so cool i can’t lie. I liked that the day pack can stand on its own but the city pack can too just not as well when they’re both empty. For anyone else still deciding between these two packs… i dont think I’ve ever been so indecisive in my life to the point i ordered both.
